Peak Season In Bermuda: Labor Day to Memorial Day
During Bermuda’s summer months, upwards of 10,000 cruise passengers arrive each week & thousands more arrive daily by air. As a small island with limited hotel rooms, its popularity as a vacation destination has led to the island’s reputation as being both exclusive and expensive. When it comes to golf, however, that reputation couldn’t be further from the truth.
Good News For Golfers
As summer temperatures begin dropping from highs in the mid 80’s down toward Bermuda’s mid-winter averages in the low 70’s, the cruise ship terminals are empty, and airlines adjust their schedules for lower demand. Summer’s crowded beaches are literally deserted, and the businessesses that depend on tourism dramatically scale back their services for what they refer to as Bermuda’s “shoulder season”. One thing that doesn’t change, however, is the number of hotel rooms on the island, and with such a dramatic drop in tourism, nightly rates that often exceed $1,000 at the finest resorts are suddenly available at unbelievable discounts, and while 70 degrees might not be ideal beach weather, golf conditions couldn’t be better!
